Founded in Venice Beach, California, Loon Skate Cult is an organization that worships skateboarding. 

We are an indigenous owned skateboard brand on a mission to reclaim the resources that were taken from us due to laws that were put in place to disenfranchise our founders tribe. Our brand proudly makes boards that not only feature authentic indigenous inspired designs, but also promote the rights of indigenous people. Our boards are made with sustainable materials, and we work hard to ensure that these materials are ethically sourced. We believe that all people should have the right to use the resources of their land without fear of persecution or discrimination. We are committed to using our skateboards to spread the message of inclusivity, and to create positive change in society. Loon is short for lunheˀu·wé (loon-hey-o-ey), which means “immortal” amongst the Oneida, a Native American tribe to which our founder Skyler belongs. Loon’s iconic logo is inspired from his own hand, born with six fingers.
